I think what people forget about 9-11 is that before then whenever someone hijacked a plane, they wanted to go somewhere. So it wasn't worth letting them kill a hostage to fight back. I figure that's how it went down, they probably grabbed a kid or an old lady and used them to gain access to the cockpit. It's the type of attack that only works once.
